I learned about my friend Jleigh’s passing right as I left Vermont. I was hoping I would get to see her one more time. I am very glad i did get to see her last week.
I’m in Seul Korea now.. after a long 17 hours of flying. I carried her with me all that way..
She took me in like a stray and got me organized at work.. after that.. i’ll bet she found the pugs she rescued pretty easy to manage.
I kept thinking about how strong and funny and fearless she was .. .. how she smiled and laughed even when life handed her challenges.. and she faced many.. She was and is a real inspiration to me… and many other folks she knew..
I know you’re at peace my friend..

Thanks again for your phone call yesterday. I, too, will miss her wit and her optimism and overall great heart. She was a committed fighter until the end, both for herself and for the pugs that she rescued. She made a great impact on this earth and it’s so sad to me that Cancer took yet another important person from us. RIP Jleigh. – See more at: http://johncohn.org/base/2015/03/16/monday-afternoon-jleigh/comment-page-1/#comment-265232
