27 years ago today Diane and I got married in the Round Church in Richomnd. and we are still so much in love. am so grateful and happy to have diane in my life.
As a gift, a subeam came in and lit the back of this plant for me.. how cool is that ?
We got our for a short hike this morning before the house woke up.. we spent our walk through the muggy. buggy weather talking about how nice it is to be together.. .. i love that girl so much !
qw did a little trail exploring and came out on a logging road we didn’t recognize.. .. it was the same old road, it had just been badly cut up by the terrible storms in july.. .. These same roads were compeltely destroyed in Irene and rebuilt.. seeing it happen again was pretty sobering..
THere was a 10 foot ditch where we used to drive our car, and a 50 foot culvert had been yanked out of the roadbed..
nothings driving on this for awhile. I wonder if they will rebuild it yet again ?
After the hike, we went home . hung out with the kids and waited out the rain..
Later in the afternoon we headed up to tim and jens.. for a cookout. they had a good sized crowd of friends.. 
The lake was queit and still in the misty , muggy afternoon.. 
Lots of cooks, lots of food.. everythign from hambergers,soy dogs, clam frittersm kim chi, Brussels sprouts, corn, cheese bread, salads.. yum !
It was great getting all the kids together.. .. it was pretty much the old ‘friends of sam’ group.. all now wonderful adults. 
the grown ups weren’t bad either !
yikes.. look at my filthy feet !
After cake,we all headed down to teh lake for a campfire and max doign soem fire spinning.. We made up a trick last night using boric acid and alchohol to make the fire poi burn green.. pretty cool !
Max did a little impromptu fire breathing witht he left over cooking oil from the clam fritters.. ewwwwwwww !
Now the end of a long day.. a good day with family and friends.. Happy anniversary my love !
