Another day at the vibes.. I spent the day talking to folks about solar power .. The day was clear and warm.. Nothing like the cold rain of yesterday or the 100+ temps of this time last year. The weather put folks in the best possible mood. The funny thing is… The whole thing made me a little restless.. I'm enjoying myself.. And at the same time I'm thinking of all the stuff I need to do at work and home. Wish I could drop that worry….

Anyway.. It really has been a Greta trip.. The uvm guys have had a great time.. Which was important to me… And I had some great time to test out my hoop.. Once again last night I had many folks come and ask to try the hoop. Feedback has been great.. But I really need to drop the weight. I noticed one woman today who has a professional sequencing hoop set.. $400 each.. I am eager to see them.. Here are some hoop shots from last night..

Folks were always hanging around the bus.. It had a really nice feeling

The organ donors guys are a few tents down.. They have a samstones on their table which makes me happy

We were talking when everyone started looking up.. 5?planes making computer generated messages in the sky.. I Thout it was very cool until I saw it was an ad for a casino

We also had folks doing pedal power to help charge phones.. .. Beleive it or not.. One rider usuall cou ld provide enough power to run all th e many phone charges we had going

Always something cooking in the solar stove as well

Some things were jus like last year.. Ugh !

Heard some great music.. Mickey hart was great.. As was deep bonanza blackout t heard everything fine either from the bus or near the stage

We've just set up the scope of r tonight.. Should be fun…

Very cool here in ever respect. It rained most of the day which was strangely nice.. . I'm wearing a coat to fight in the cool weather here a welcome far cry from the steam bath of two days ago… We spent the whole day Huddled inside the bus talking, programming, eating and drinking.. A perfect vacation day.. Though I'm missing my family.. I here the first few notes of bob wires guitar drifting thought the window, so I better make this short.. Tonight will be a long show.. My favorite act will start at 2am (!) so I better charge charge up . Here was the seen in the bus last night

Woke refreshed after camping last night ..The air is cool and fresh here.. nothing like the past week.. thank g-d !

Absolutely wonderful day at the Gathering of the Vibes today. The real festival starts this evening (now.. actually.. I’m listening to Yonder Mountain String Band as I type). We spent the day setting up Gary’s Solar Bus for the zillions of hippies that will visit over the next couple of days. Our mission is to explain the benefits of solar energy .. and how it works.. We have a bunch of great folks here..  I’m particulary proud of my two UVM Senior design project tea members who have brought their IBM-sponsored senior project here to show off. more pics of that tonight..

It’s been so great hanging out with them.. and with the UVM folks who are here with their projects, and with the other exhibitors.. and most of all with all the random hippies who have stopped by today..
