Super nice and chill yoga night tonight. My favorite night of the week. Paula came over for yoga evevn though she4’d had foot surgery.. We got to sign her cast !

I think my whole life to this point has been an unauthorized experiment !
speaking of which, Kasey and I have almost finished the vacuum tube tesla coil we’re building. He’s heading to new zealand for three weeks soemtiem later this week.. we’ll have to wait to try it until he gets back.. will be fun !

We’re trting to get out in the great snow whenever we can. Today we snowshoed up a little ways on honey hollow road.. we climbed and headed along a ridge and followed that back to the road.. we wanted to stay in deep snow, so we crossed the road and bushwhacked back along preston brook. It was gorgeous outside.. and we only saw two other people
Later on, my freind Kasey came over and we got a ton done on the vacuum tube Tesla coil with. It’s taking a long time but it’s been fun.
I also showed him my old analog coil that my god freind Scott and I made back in.. 1995 ..
We got the new vacuum tube coil almost ready to power on, but I ran out of time.
My relatives, jon, jeane and evan were in town and I wanted to give them a tour of beta before dinner.. they loved beta !!!
it was a perfect night for a snow angel on the BETA helipad !
we all then piled in our car for the ride down to Starry night cafe,w here we mat my other cousins-in-law Billy and Deborah.. and their duaghter Clara This was a surprise birthday party for Evan who’s turning 30 ! He graduated from Middlebury several years ago and now lives in NYC.. he’s back to go sking in Craftsbury with his mom, dad and two of his uncles lfor the rest of the week.
It was really nice gettign to hang out with hte mishpolke . SUper nice folks !

There’s somewhere between. fotr and a foot and a half of snow out in the woods.. We took advantage of the fluff by doign our first snowshoe of the season.. We hiked up bamforth ridge trail, then forked off to bushwack up Gleason brook up into the woods. .. We like takign this loop up that way, then crossing the brook and hiking back through an old overgrown logging road we found that we call ‘sheep shoot’ . we like imagining it being used to move sheep from pasture to pasture over 100 years ago when all the land here was bare and used for sheep farming. It’s a pretty strenuous hike with lots of ups and down ..
I took advantage of the rest of the day to clean out my closets and drawers.. It had been needing it for a longggg time
