it was another busy day of helping the hackers.. my last night shift ended at 2am.. and my morning shift toda y started at 7:30 my job was ot help people find circuit compnents they need whcih often meant helping them design their circuits.. I love it !

Kids were in various stages of consciousness after staying up at least one night maybe two… They were asleep in every corner… There was food, wrappers, and cans and electronic stuff all over the place.

It was heaven.

Around 4 PM we all straight around, trying to clean up because 40 of the world’s top maker influencers were coming to visit us… Have to admit that I didn’t know many of them, but for example, tyro Pyro who I’m a big fan of came… Mark Roewer, electro boom…… Smarter every day strange parts. All sorts of names which I’ve heard but didn’t really know

Around midnight, I got dressed up in a weird inflatable costume of something tung tung tung sahur.. It’s a weird meme of a giant stick who runs around with a baseball bat and wakes kids up to eat their breakfast Ramadan meal… It was huge on TikTok I guess… So I got dressed up like that and got to come in and sing happy birthday to three people who had their birthdays, so we had birthday cake and ice cream… It was a hoot… Last hackathon I was Santa and handed out ice cream

This afternoon , I headed out to San Francisco for Hackclub’s outpost Hackathon. I love doing these hacker buns… They’re all about hardware so I get to design electronics things with very smart high school kids from all over the world. Diane was going to be heading back home today but she decided to stay for several extra days to keep helping Becky on painting the new room and pantry… she dropped me off at the airplane and I started missing her immediately.… I went to the United lounge in Denver and got sad when I had to say it was only me because Diane is usually with me when I travel now these days

I got into San Francisco about 830 and Uber to my hotel drop my stuff and then headed over to frontier town where the Hackathon was going. It was total chaos, which is just what I was looking for.

Another long workday, both beta work and Max and Becky’s house work… A nice surprise though is that my very good friend David and Pam reached out to me to ask me about meow wolf because they were going to be in Santa Fe. I quickly wrote back that we’re also in Santa Fe anyway we agreed to meet up at one of our favorite restaurants lasse that we could walk to. It was so nice hanging out with them… We had a great meal and then went out for crazy ice cream, like five spice ice cream and chili pepper ice cream we really enjoy hanging out with them… David and my friend groups and interest groups are so intertwined. He’s an MIT professor and entrepreneur and Pam is a singer.  bthey have a house up in Vermont so we get to see them pretty often… I’m so glad to be getting to know them better.

 

On the walk home, Diana and I went by the place that we are renting with george and Doreen in August… Looks like it’s gonna be a nice place

Another long workday around the Max Becky’s house… It’s satisfying and also exhausting. We really enjoy staying over at Tracy and Jordan’s house. We really appreciate that they’re letting us stay there.… I noticed a problem with one of the circuit breakers and had to take this picture to identify which kind. It’s pretty fancy it tells you what’s wrong with it…
