We cant get enough of outside this time of year. Today Diena, Lou and I did one of our favorite super local hikes.. Up catamount trail and down honey hollow road.. It’s abotu 6 miles.. 3 miles up hill, 3 miles downhill.
this eving we all convereged again dfor Red Hot Juba playing at the Stone Coral. The lead singe Eric was all of our boys English teach in high school !

I stayed up late last night and tried again to see northern lights.. not sure if this counts.. but I do see a litttle color.. THe bright moon was beutiful, but not very helpful for start gazing
I dont generally work Fridays.. but today I did to catch up from soem of the travel. Work is really fun right now.. Very exciting stuff is happening !
After work our friends Lou, Kathy, George , Jane and their dogs all met up at Libby’s look for a fall hike. The leaves are in full color now and there’s no better thing to do than to hike !
Then home for a really nice laid back meal together.. Feuturing Dianes first attempt at replicating the Basque cheesecake we came to love on our trip to Spain

TOday is Rosh Hashanah, the begingin of the Jewish new year. I used to spend the day in Shul.. but that doesnt call to me anymore. Instead Diane a. our friend Mel and I climbed Camels hump (again) in the early morning to greet the day
On the way to work this am.. I saw this. Wiggly armed Kamala Harris ins oemone s yard.. Gave me hop (rememebr I’m writing this in November.. so I knwo the outcome.. but it doesnt keep me from remembering the joy of being hopeful)
Late tonight I went outside to see if I could find any northern lights.. there’s high activity now.. No luck
Still hopeful….No light in the sky tonight. As we all ned to be the light

THis morning I had the pleasure of giving a talk on AI to the PMICV.. an orginization that pbrings project managers together from all over the state. IT was a fun event I’ve spoken at before. I enjoy meeting these folks.. because their brains are wired so differently than my own. I began my talk as I have before by tellign them that anythign i’ve ever gotten done of any size has started with me pairing up with a good , smart project manager. Diane is my favorite. smart organized persone Our Daughter in law Becky is another. DIane says I only consider her organized in comparison to myself 🙂
Anyway.. it was a great meeting.. and enjooyed gettign to see so many wel organized freinds in one place
After work today, diane and I took advantage of the beautiful weather to hike Bolton.. You can definitely see fall colors up tehre !
we got home and broke out the apples and honey. TOnight is Erev Rosh Hashonah. THe beginning of the Jewish new year
THe star of the year always gets me to think about the last year and the next year at the same time.. it’s been a turbulent year.. and next year will no doubt be as well. THe only thing we can do is to be kind, hopeful and work for the things we can make better.
