Today we are thinking of our good friend Marie. Marie did a year ago today at age 31.  She was a talented, clever and beautiful person… We think of her every day.

 

To mark the day we took a morning hike with Maries parents Tim and Jen.. our dear friends. It was good for us all to be out in nature

Fun day at work… A friend Kevin now on day two… It was fun to see the place through his eyes.  Kevin what is one of sam’s best friends… I took him up to see our friend Mary’s wonderful heart music that has a small Samstown fragment in it… Kevin really liked that

 

I was thinking of Sam when I got an opportunity to tour our new building that’s being built near the airport.… One of the features of the building is geothermal heating and cooling. There are several hundreds mole wells that go deep in the earth to help heat and cool space.… one of the workers gave me permission to drop a Samstone down over 200 feet in well number 250

 

Sam would have thought that was pretty cool !

Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit… That’s the first thing you’re supposed to say when you wake up on the first day of the month… I remember this time.

 

I probably should’ve said mouse mouse mouse… Because Diane is leading the campaign to mouse proof our house… She’s been diligently plugging every tiny hole in our foundation… We also have our game camera out trying to figure out where the critters are getting in. Making some funny discoveries… But this guy is pretty typical

First thing this morning I took Matthew, Carolyn and Anna to the airport. It’s been so fun having them here 

The it was off to work. It was on of my favorite days of the year.. Halloween. I even dressed up for work ..   It was our freind Kevin’s first day at Beta.. glad he’s here !

 

After work, Diane  and I met up with Tim, Jen and Deb nad went to see their friends who run Beudry’s store in Huntington. Our good friend (and former roommate) Elliot was there making wood fired pizzas while kids trick or treated.    After that we made our way back to richmond and trick or treated up and down pleasant street. That included a nice long visit and Marshal and Gretchens for fresh hot donuts !

Halloween Brings back so many great memories of trick-or-treating with the kids…… I miss those days… I… I missed the candy too 🙂
