Everyone felt a little better today. We hung low for most of the day.. The high point was learning to make ‘hollyhock dolls’ from Becky’s beautiful Hollyhock flowers. Doreen showed us how to do it.. You find a tight flower bud for the head.. and wider bloom for the skirt. You peel back the greenery from the head bud and it reveals pairs of small holes between the petals. They serve as the the dolls eyes as well as the ‘neck’ where the stem of the skirt but goes..
Everyone is feeling better today… I am still testing negative
We got everyone out to the dog park which was nice.. we could be outside without infecting anyone.. Violet loved being out !
Diane and I needed more exercise.. so late afternoon we want to some of our favorite trails.. The Dale Ball Sierra Del Norte trails (Dale Ball was my good friend David’s Step-father !)
It felt so good to climb !
We’re going to have fun here no matter what covid tries to do !
Everyone was feeling pretty crummy from covid.. so we just lay low either in our airbnb or over at becky and Maxs.. Everyone wore masks because Doreen and I were still negative.
I went to the store and got every kind of throat lozenge ..and made a lozenge bar for everyone Not all that fun, but Nice being together anyway !
By the time we woke on Tuesday , word was coming in that many more folks from our camp had tested positive. From our family Diane, George, Max, Becky, Gabe had all tested positive and were feeling very sick.. Only Doreen and I tested negative..
Diane and I still had to take the van back to Albequerque.. I know it wasn’t fun to do that while sick.. but Diane drove the Prius down. while I drove the van. We drove back together both masked.. By then DIane, George, Max, Becky and Gabe (who was back in Portland) had a variety of symptoms including aches, fever, chills, sore throughout and cough.. Ugh ! I felt so bad for everyone.
George and doreen changed their travel loans and we all hunkered down in our AirBNB around the corner form Max and becky
