Monday night / Yom Kippur

I made aVery quiet Observance of young Kapor today. As with every year that I can remember I fasted all day… Which is surprisingly hard.… Food I can go without but coffee stuff. I took a few hours in the morning to take a walk with Diane up in the woods which was a good way to get into a contemplative mood. I did do some serious thinking about the purpose of Yom Kippur… That is atonement. I don’t like the guilt aspect but I do like the reset of intentions . I made a few adjustments… And we’ll see how the year goes…

As is customary around now. This is also a good time to ask forgiveness of anyone with wrong in the past year… So if you’re out there… And I Dona wrong. I’m very sorry about that. I promise to try harder in the coming year.

Hope you all do that as well.

Sunday night – erev yom kipper

Beautiful day here . Diane and I are hell bent on finding the old long trail near our home . We headed up honey hollow and hiked up the catamount trail thinking that the old long trail was near there . We got all the way over To the catamount Nordic Ski area trails… Thinking we might be on the long trail… But when I did a little bit more tracing of our locations on the map I realize that we were nowhere close. It was still a really beautiful hike

Tonight is Eric Young with the pour… The night before the most important day in the Jewish calendar. I’m not really sure what I’m gonna do to observe. I’m really not feeling the religious part of it… But I’m drawn heavily to the spiritual and his store part of it. I will fast tomorrow… But not sure what else I’ll do to observe.

This is the day when you are supposed to look at your life and try to figure out what mistakes you might’ve made in the past year what you could do better… The goal is to make some good intentions

I’ll certainly be doing that

Saturday night – Wrongtrail

We had a great adventure today with our friends David and ‘Steve. A couple of weeks ago we started looking for the old Long Trail and Robins mountain behind our house. Today we went up better prepared . We had old maps, GPS, food, water… We spent nearly 7 hours up there trying to find your trail. We bushwhack up and down the mountain… We had some interesting discoveries including some of the original painted over blazers… An old stove, some graffiti… And some wonderful views. It was a great day…

There was plenty of air scratches up there… It’s actually beer season now. I’m rooting for the Bears

We accidentally ran into a “Peak baggers” Marker… It’s where people can write that they’ve reached the Types of minor peaks Like robins Mountain Meadow Peak.… We were surprised to find that a friend of David’s had been there just six days edition ago. Despite it being in the middle of nowhere with no trail anywhere near there.

When we got down to the gun club we were surprise to run into our friends Greg and ‘Meg and their friends to Kelly’s.… We haven’t seen them in a long time so it was nice to catch up

My body is tired and I need to sleep

Super nice day…
