Thursday night – Happy 90th birthday aunt sis!

I wanna wish a big happy birthday to my aunt Sis who turned 90 today. She is not what you normally think of with a 90 year old.… She and her husband my uncle Phil who is… What 91? 92? Are like totally crazy active normally globetrotting… Funny nice and impeccably well-dressed couple.… If you saw them you might guess they were in their 70s

Sis has been part of my life since the moment I was born… We grew up Seeing her and her family At least once a year for the last 60 years that I can remember. I remember it was in her basement that I found my first real Chemistry set…That certainly changed my life

Tonight we all got together on zoom to wish sis A happy 90th…

Thanks for being sucha great inspiration

Wednesday night – company !

Today was an interesting convergence point. We had more visitors today than we’ve had at any time in the pandemic. A good friend Sean… Came for a visit GabÉ’s housemate in Portland Is in Vermont for a while visiting his family. He flew here and then quarantined and is now hanging out in Vermont.

Diane Shaun and I hiked up Bolton and got a great view at the Sunset

At the same time ‘Kyle And her friend Sam are back from walking Part of the Long Trail.

We had all of them plus Our Marcus over for a socially distant dinner. It was great to see other people Even if they were across the room and under a mask

We are missing our kids… So we decided to give them a surprise so we all went outside and lit up our faces with her cell phones to let the house camera pick it up. Both GabÉ and Max and Becky were able to see us. They sent us these pictures

It’s so funny… This would’ve been a normal Tuesday Jo good night type gathering… But man does it feel special to see more than our bubble.…

Simple pleasures of other people

Tuesday night – Equinox

Today’s the first day of fall… It is definitely my favorite time of year… Even with the pandemic. I love the bike to the air. This is when you know we live in a funny part of the country. I was talking today several people at different parts of the US who were in the 80s or 90s… We’re going below freezing at night now.

We’re still trying to keep outdoor yoga going… Diane gave a fantastic class outside this evening and you could see how bundled up we are in the 40° weather

This is great dog barking weather…

Monday night – in the flow

I just looked up and it was 1130 at night. I think I sat down at seven to work on a project doing with my brother.… I don’t think I moved more than 6 inches the whole time… I was hunched over ice quarantine to read stuff, burning my fingers…

It was heaven :-)

I love that kind of work that I get so immersed in that I don’t notice the passing of time… I don’t get hungry… I don’t get tired…

It’s also called “flow”… In the research of the psychologist Csíkszentmihályi

I don’t know how to say his name… But I love his ideas

I also just like typing his name

OK time to flow to bed
