spent the day in portalnd working inside.. Gabe was at school and I worked solid till about 4.. then went for a longish run.. portland is beautiful even in the rain 

 

around 5 gabe came home and we headed out to a small party at one of his fellow grad students.. They were so nice !

 

then we walked back about 2 miles and met sean for dinner 

 

so fun walkign around this city 

 

 

diane was workign at home .. filing old pictures. she sent me a bunch that sh found.. so sweet.. made me smilte and cry a little

greetings from portland !

i’m out making a beer run for gabe and  his roomy sean..

gabe picked me up at the aorport and we went to Besaws.. where sean works.    it was so good !

gabe had pancakes 

 

 

and I had some sort of great veggie hash 

 

then we went back to Gabes apartment. looking very good !

 

I had 48 cans of vermont beer I my suutcases and one broke I each.. all my clothers are covered in beer.. they smell so good !

 

 

gabe studied while I worked most  to the day.   crazy thing to do on a sunday,. I know.

great day with linda and david.. It was cold to begin with.. as we got ready to go out on a hike. Just before we left our good friends Vickie and Greg stopped by. They were out leaf peen’ too.  always good to see them. they have such an interesting life.

 

it was good visiting with them..  we got some good retirement stories that are sounding more and more fun to me 🙂 

eventually we did make it out on the trail. today we went on the story loop up rocker mountain in little river state park .. betuful day for it.. some good color up there already

now back hope packing for oregon.. >> here’s 60 poiunds of beer.. I think I’m ready for the trip !

Very nice not get . Our good friends kinda and david are up here from Endicott my where Diane grew up. They came with dinner (shrimp and grits) wine and Roma’s pizza .. it’s always so good Having them up here

Interestingly, the plan behind here is also called ‘shrimp and grits ‘
