busy day in sf working with friends at AKQA .. very productive. Met diane at the hotel at 5 and escaped the city with her . Went down to palo alto to see friends peter and megan … where we met up with john, lauren, andrew and some other friends.. all burning man connections. Great evening of conversation.. mostly talking aboit what most burning man falks talk about when not at burning man…  …burning man… 

it was almost as fun as going to burning man…

but here they have flush toilets !

Busy. busy day today here in SF…. beginning with another nice run through the very busy Chinese  section  \

diane spent the day exploring the city.. she walked over 8 miles. one of those miles took her to a small park near golden gate…. and there she ra into our good friends  mark and jill from vermont.. totally randomly.. we didn’t know they were in California.. and they didn’t know we were here..

beutiful and busy work day in San fransisco..   Diane and I watched the sun rise from our room

 

we got out for a good 4 mile or so run.   down to near telegraph hill

 

we ran out on oen of the peirs and left a samstone 

 

then back to the hotel, quick shower and off to work..   I met up with my freind SHerri 

 

and my freind Biz 

after work we met up with our freinds from AKQA.. Michael, Nick, Jon, Crystal  for a lovely meal at 

The Battery.. a private club tha Micheal blongs to.. it’s an amazing place eith twisting passages, beutiful dinig rooms. gardens, librarie.. even a secret door in a book shelf.

 

it had even more surprises than that..t eh guys surprised me wiht an early birthday cake !  It was so wonderful !

 

after dinner , michael gaver us a tour of the place.. it’s so amazing.. they even had a photo booth 

very nice evening with very nice people.

Greetings from somewhere over colorado or utah.. Diane and I are on our way out to Ca for a mix of work and vacation. Looking forward to seeing friends from work, form my past, from burning man.. even a few relatives. Friday is my birthday  ! (59 !) .. looking forward to that too !

I was not completely sue about leaving today because of RJ.. but We got some updates on him today from his brother Rusty and Mason. He’s beat up pretty bad.. but lucid and making jokes. He’s got some serious helping to do in the coming months.. maybe the coming years..
