Thursday night – no space

Our close friend Avery dropped by today with Jen.. Avery’s a Senior at UVM and will be graduating this weekend. It kind of shocked me when i thought about it. Sam would have probably  been graduating from college now too.. Avery and a ton of our other friends are going to march down the aisles of whatever schools and go out into the world.. Where would Sam have been, what would he have studied.. Would he know what he wanted to do with his life ?

When Sam’s class graduated from High School, they left a space for him in the lines of students coming out to get their diplomas.. they even called out his name.. it was a bitter sweet moment.  Now.. there will be no space, no name called out.. That space is locked in a set of questions we will never know how to answer, .

It does make mae sad to think about that.. at the same time I’m very happy and proud for our many friends who will be graduating in the next couple of weeks. So many adventures out there.. so many decsions.. so much to learn and do.. their whole lives ahead of them. Best of luck my friends. find something you love to do !

Wednesday night – Makin Friends

Down in Armonk today to speak to our most recent set of new Execs. It was scary speaking to all these smart folks..I think there were about 160 of them. Went well, tho- . It was very fun hangin out with them. They were from a bazillion differnt countries and lines of work. Lots of new friend potential in there.

Speaking of Makin friends. My new friend Ryan (from Guster.. love them too !) is working with new friend Hilary on a series of seeking out the 'High Functioning Wierdos' in Vermont. I'm proud to have made the list. Just got this today. I love it !..

Go check twitter for #MakinFriendsVT to see the other two they've cooked up. We gotta find Ryan some more high functioning wierdos to meet. He needs some friends !

Monday night – summer office

Beutiful day here in Oz.. managed to work outside some of the day which was wonderful. I also managed to move to my ‘summer office’ . I when the weather is warm enough. I move my computer and chair up to the bell tower of our house

Here’s my view from the chair.. When so moved I can even ring the bell form there.

From there I can see ourwhole town.. including to our neighbors Veronique and Mat.. We saw them today snce the birth of their new baby Francesca..

What a cute kid !..  she’s like a 5 percent boost in our neighborhoods population. 🙂

OK. time for some sleep.. more tomorrow
