Nice to be here with Diane . Always makes traveling so much more fun

Tonight we went out with some work friends . An i remix of folks from all over the world .. mixed in with some good Greek food makes for a nice evening 🙂

Now .. heading to sleep and hoping the air conditioner keeps up !

Sunday night – the big thaw and almost Joe Russo

Today was pretty busy. We used it to catch up on a lot of stuff and prepare for travel. Started out with a nice walk with the dogs. Nothing like the river to beat the heat.

Dianne got ambitious today and emptied and thawed our old third freezer. It was a wonderful gift from her sister-in-law Shaun maybe 20 years ago. It served us very well. Now it’s just the two of us we don’t need it… And our new boiler is going where it is. So we’re giving it to our friends Bob And Amanda to fill with berries and other delicious stuff

Going through it was a little bit of archaeology. We found lots of old soup’s and nuts and lots of things we could identify.

One great find was a bunch of Romas Pizza from Diane’s home town of Endicott. I thought a piece of cooked it and ate it just for fun. I don’t think I need to do that ever again

Eventually it was empty and thawed

Around 430 Bob came over with his bucket loader so Hunter, diane and I Moved it outside for him to pick up

While we were at Barb’s he gave us an old painting With a thermometer on it that used to be here in the school house

Around seven we headed towards Burlington for a Joe Russo show. The funny thing is that you Russo himself was not playing. His wife gave birth to their second child three weeks prematurely… So we had to cancel last night and this night show. We were offered a refund but we decided it would be fun to go down there. I’m really glad we went. We ran into a whole bunch of people including Ellen, Will and Juba

We also ran into our friend Julie who is on garbage patrol.

The show was really great… Even without their lead singer. So many happy people. There’s something about the Grateful Dead music that just makes people happy. There were all generations there. It just fills me up

Now time for bed. It’s 75° which is a pretty warm evening here. Might be too hot to sleep…

I’ll let you know
