Sunday night – Second shot

Big news this weekend is that both of us got our second Covid shots… I’ve never been so happy to get a jab !

Shane and I celebrated by taking a walk up a more mountain… More or less. We actually missed part of the trail because we’re having such a great conversationWe still got a good 5 miles in

Nice weekend !

Saturday night – roofline

Nice quiet day here. It’s cold and rainy… So I spent time doing projects around the house.

One thing I have to do is take photographs of our slate roof. We’ve been looking for a saltier We think we found one he wanted to see some pictures of the roof to see what kind of work is needed. Luckily were able to get pictures from the tower… the Roof line is 55 feet in the air… Not that something I’d like to go out and walk on

One of the other things I had to do while I was up there is pull the broken window down… We picked some glass up when we took Diane to get her second Covid chat.… I got three times the amount of glass I need it because I knew it was gonna be hard to cut one of them to the curved shape of the window

Turns out that even three pieces? Laugh… I ended up going through 5 Pieces of glass until I got the right curve… It takes a lot of swearing to cut a curved piece of glass.… Anyway I got the whole thing away minutes and they’re setting up tonight

Watching “queens gambit” with Diane now… What a cool show… More tomorrow

Thursday night – Shattered

About 5 o’clock this morning Dina and I we’re walking up to the sound of breaking glass… The house was creaking in a huge windstorm. The temperature had dropped about 25°… Unfortunately I’d left one of them tower windows down and leaning against the wall. The wind managed with in there and knock it down. This morning I went up to survey the damage. Three panes of glass including a custom cut rounded one that I’ll have to make again… Serves me right for not Closing the window before the storm ..

That’s what you get for living in the house with about 500 panes of glass

Wednesday night – The return of wilderness Wednesdays

Super interesting day today. Lots of highs and lows. One of the real highs was having a great brainstorming session with some friends about how The mental state of “flow” can affect a musical performance. Really fascinating discussion I am looking forward to more

The other grade high was the return of “wilderness Wednesdays”… Diane and ‘Kyle and I made it to have it most of last year to climb Up one of the peaks at Bolton Valley every Wednesday night.… The place closed a week ago and wow much of the snow is still there you can walk up without spikes. We were going to go up wilderness… But couldn’t resist the urge to go up Vista and climb the fire tower

It was nice being on top of the world for a short bit.… I was gratified to know that snowshoeing and running over the winter and keep me in shape… The mountain felt as easy as it ever did

Looking forward to many more of these climbs in the coming months
