Friday night (delayed) – Schleira, Mark and Kathy, Wormdogs

Busy workday… Then a meeting at University of Vermont with my friend Dave Hammond. I’m working on a tribute piece from my good friend scott… Some sort of high voltage physical phenomenon Facebook and play with in the new UVM science building’s.… Dave was kind enough and lucky enough to take some of Scott’s high-voltage equipment… So he’s willing to help… He’s also helping me on another visualization project where I’m trying to see turbulence over a wing shape. He’s been setting up a Schleiren Photography set up… It’s a technique where you can actually see small perturbations in air density because of the small refraction differences… He’s got this set up where you can actually see the heat rising from our hands or from a heated Sam stone or from a hot air gun… Hope is that will be able to do the same thing for a wing. It’s so much fun working with him

Early evening… My cousins Marc and Cathy from Austin showed up… Marks my second cousin once removed and a very good friend. He lived in our house back in 1982… We were at Marc and Cathie’s wedding and they were at ours. Now he’s a CTO at AMD and changing the world. It was so great Hanging out with them I’m talking about our families and all times… Super fun

Later that evening to meet up with friends at the Zenbarn to see our favorite band the Wormdogs… It was like old home week. We hadn’t really seen him play since the pandemic and they’ve only gotten better. The bar was packed and the show was fantastic

really really fun Friday Summer day and night !

Nite all, nite sam !

Wednesday night – Bolton

Dianne spent the day working on her gardens that she hadn’t seen in almost 5 weeks… I’ve done my best to keep them weeded but nobody does it like she does.… Around 6 o’clock stop what we’re doing and hiked up Bolton as we always do on Wednesday nights… The Dianne hadn’t been here to do it for five weeks. It was super fun kind of a warm night but very Misty and cloudy up there.

It’s so nice to have my girl with me again

Tuesday night (delayed) – plane speaking

Dianne’s flight which was due again yesterday was canceled due to accrue problem. So she’s coming back today. She’s been In Portland with Gabe meeting our new grand puppy nova… She’s been gone three weeks which believe it or not as long as we’ve been apart since I was on the colony . I told Gabe today that I wish for him that he is excited to see his partner of 39 years when she comes back home as I am today.

It was good day… Got a lot of work done… And then after work I took a run down to see the airplane it was being repaired and Pratts field… The plane was an old Antonoff That was built in 1969. They had some engine troubles so my friend ‘Kyle had to put it down in the Pratts field… He landed it very gracefully. It’s now being serviced there and will eventually takeoff. I ran down to see if the Folks working on the plane needed any food or water… They were fine. It was very cool seeing the plane… It had been doing commercial flights in Lithuania which is where nearly all of my ancestors are from

I decided to run back on the railway tracks because it was no fun riding on route two. That means going under the Pratts culvert… And climbing back up on the tracks and running back over a bridge or two… It was a hot Misty evening and raining .… Very atmospheric

Bands playing out in around 9 PM and I was so happy to see her… I wisked her home OK for some tomato sandwiches and blueberry crisp right out of the garden…

It’s so nice to have her home!

Nite all, nite sam
