Gabe is back in town. He’s here for his friend Jack’s wedding. It’s so great getting to see him again so soon after our trip. I picked him up after his long redeye. he was tired.. but not too tired to take a quick tour of BETA !

 

We got home to a yummy breakfast Diane had made.. then went out for a short hike. We decided to hike up the Catamount trail…. and walk down to the river. .. So beautiful and so much fun..

We got home just in time to watch one of Gabe’s good friends defend her PhD thesis.. It was fun and good practice for Gabe.

 

Later in the afternoon we went out to meet up with Hannah Olivier and Deb to hear our friend Adrianna sing. (she’s SO great). On the way we stopped to show Gabe Fluffy.. he’d never seen it (her ? )

Fun and productive day at work.. Got this great pic of our intern Phoebe. It was also the last day for our excellent high school intern crawford. We’ll miss himI

 

THis evening we had a nice goign away party for Pat at Martha’s house. . He’s moving to Asheville NC with his GF. Lexi is starting an Ob/GYN residency down there and Pat will be teaching. I think they are going to love it down there.

Today my friend-in-law Bill (his mom is my great aunts sister) came and visited us at work. For some  reason he had in his possession the inner workings of an old pump powered player piano. He showed how you could blow in the thing to make smooth rotating motion.. who knew ?!? 

 

later on Gizzo and Amey came out to the house to talk cloud and cable naming for Fluffy.

Just thinking thinking today how grateful I am to be working with such nice, cool people.

 

Shannon and Sophia even came with us to Cosco.. 

 

 

I think when you go to Casco togeher is  when “work friends” just become “friends”. 🙂
