Thursday night – Mittenwald

Our goal today was to visit another oe of the hike to resturants up in the hills. THis time we chose Korbinianhütte .. it had been on everybodys recommendation list. Our plan to beat the crowds was to leave early and be there when they opened at 10.. we parked in Mittenwald which was very cute.. then started the hike up.. It was a beutiful hke.. and not yet too hot.

we were at the gate when they opened and were the only customers.. .. the people there were really nice.. tBy this point im feelign pretty comfortable in my German ,and could order ‘off the menu’ hey made an omletted for diane.. even though it wasnt on the menu.. and for me i had spinat-kasse brotchen with tomatoe sauce.. bith were truly exceptional.. as was the view.. It wa soooooo nice !

THe hike down was faster and steeper.. still beutiful .. there was a track for gravty go carts that ran sleds in the winter. it was so cool to see these things tearign through the woods !

By the time we gt back to town it was full of visitors.. wheihc meant our scheme for startingearly was the right one !

We got back to the car to find we’d gotten a ticket.. evne though we’d paid for parking.. the parking ticket from the automat had fallen off the dashboard 🙁 .. I wrote them a letter to see if they would let it go.. I dont expect them to aay yes,. but it never hurts to ask nicely !

intresting to here what people think of us given our. crazy govenrment now.. stuff like this showed up in many places.

form there we headed to an area with two .. actually three lakes with the hopes of beatign the heat.. it was near 90 and humid..

the walk was nice.. though the lakes werent all that beechy.. .Nova didnt care..w e played water ball with her for about an hour.

she got into this routine.. she’d jump into the lake, grab the ball. .then run up the shore to a small drop of.. and push the ball over it.. so it rolled out in to the lake.. she kept doign it like a loop.. it wass so funny and cute !
